We are delighted to be offering your P6 or P7 child the wonderful opportunity to see an exciting production of Titanic at Theatre at the Mill. Talented Youth Lyric pupils which include Strandtown pupils have been working tirelessly under the direction of Wilfie Pyper MBE. He has directed musical societies both in the Province and Republic of Ireland and has been the resident director of the award-winning Belfast Operatic Company for over 30 years.
Strandtown pupils will be supervised by Youth Lyric staff and EA trained chaperones for a reduced ticket price of just £10 for the matinee performance on Saturday 14 March starting at 2.30pm at Theatre at the Mill. If you would like your child to avail of this opportunity please sign the permission slip attached and return to info@youthlyric.co.uk who will respond with confirmation of your ticket so you can transfer £10 for the ticket to them directly. Payment will not be required until you have received a confirmation email that your child has secured a ticket.
Parents would need to drop their child at the Theatre at the Mill at 2pm and collect them at approximately at 4.15pm. We would ask parents to walk them into the foyer where there will be a member of Youth Lyric staff waiting and this is where they will also need to be picked up from. We would advise sending some money for your child to purchase a drink / snack at the interval.
The Youth Lyric Production of Titanic supports the history curriculum in both the Primary and Secondary sector so this would be of real value to their learning as well as a great experience of the theatre.
