Year 6 Cross Country & Fun Run
Gone are the days of wet, windy and freezing cross country runs in the middle of February. Short sleeves, sunglasses and some much needed heat made for a considerably more enjoyable event for runners, spectators and teachers.
Over 160 boys and girls from Year 6 lined up for 2 fiercely competitive races. Class rivalries were set aside in favour of House points and it was McClenaghan House taking the spoils. It was great to see so many pupils taking part, running with a smile on their faces. Some even broke into a sweat!
Our 2 races were followed by a Fun Run with the vast majority of our Year 6 pupils taking part. Some ran, some sauntered, some linked arms in a show of exhausted unity but ALL had a ball.
Summer term cross country runs are the way forward. See you same time, same place next year!
