The children had been practising in their classrooms in the run up to the big finals! Year 5 teachers were in turmoil, how do you choose a winner from so much talent?! In true teacher fashion, they passed the responsibility to the kids :) Each Year 5 class choose a winner from their class to compete in the 'Strandtown's Got Talent final on Tuesday.
Our three judges (Mrs McCreery, Mr Kelso & Ms Hutchman) watched carefully while all 8 acts took to the stage , cheered on by their classes. We had Dancers, Magicians & Singers representing our talented Year 5 bunch.
At the end of the event all of the Year 5 teachers discussed all the acts & finally decided on a winner. Our Magician from Room 22 was our overall winner & was presented with a voucher from Mauds in Ballyhackamore.
In our eyes every child was a winner, the courage, pride & commitment that each child showed as they stepped onto the stage was outstanding!
