UPDATE: Letter from Mrs Hutchinson
Dear Parents
In addition to setting up a home learning platform via ClassDojo, the pupils tomorrow will be sent home with learning packs and their school books. These are to be used during pupil absence and potential school closure. We felt it timely to issue these now as pupil and staff absence may decline in the days ahead. We will also sign-post you to a home learning section of our website when it has been completed by our web-designers.
It is with sadness that we have decided we can’t hold our Spring Concert in April. I would like to hope that it may be postponed until June, however realistically this may not be the case. On Thursday in school we are going to video the children’s last rehearsals and hope this will go some way to capture all they have prepared and achieved over the last number of months. We are aiming to issue a cash refund for tickets purchased to date. We have also decided to cancel the Junior Disco which was planned for this Friday.
The advice issued by the UK government on Monday has instructed people in vulnerable risk categories to self-isolate. This is applicable to some of our teachers, mainly those who are pregnant. I appreciate your understanding of these circumstances as normal teaching arrangements will be altered. All teachers will be in tomorrow morning to issue packs and books. We would appreciate the return of all school reading and library books tomorrow.
I will continue to keep you updated on this evolving situation.
Regards,
Mrs Hutchinson
