On Friday, Dexter and Blake represented Strandtown PS in the N.I.Chess Finals held at the Long Room,Stormont. The boys qualified for these Finals after competing all year against other pupils from many other schools at Methody.
Having finished in the top four in the province, the boys were invited to Stormont to play in the finals.
We congratulate Blake and Dexter on their wondeful success and what an opportunity to display their talents in such an iconic building. Well done boys, we are all very proud of you.
If any other pupils have an interest in chess or wish to learn how to play chess, the chess club meets in R18 every Tuesday afternoon from 3pm - 4pm.
