The school council, warmly welcomed the Minister of Education, Peter Weir, to Strandtown. The school council took the opportunity to voice the pupil frustration at the lack of progress on our building programme and the current state of our buildings to the minister. Sarah Somerville, confidently presented the views of the pupils to the Minister with a a heartfelt speech, which was warmly received by him. He outlined the plan for the building work to commence next year. It was great to see the pupil voice of our school being heard and listened to at such a high level.
