SAFEGUARDING EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Strandtown is committed to offering a variety of extra-curricular activities and clubs wherever and whenever practical, and with that comes a number of issues such as safeguarding and administration. With safeguarding being a major focus for Strandtown it’s important that when children are taking part in extra-curricular activities, we know where they are at all times.
We ask for your help in safeguarding these activities by letting the school know if your child is not attending a club that they have committed to. It would be appreciated if a letter could be sent to the club teacher explaining your child’s absence. If your child is not at school on the day of the activity, please contact the school office.
If your child has signed up to a club but no longer wishes to attend, please send a letter to the club teacher so they can remove your child’s name from the register.
If your child is absent from a club it is our responsibility to find out where they are. If we have no record of their non-attendance, then we are obliged to contact parents/guardians to ensure their child is home safely.
Your help with matter would be greatly appreciated and would reduce the amount of calls the office staff need to make throughout the week.
