Roots Of Empathy in Year 4
This year, three Y4 classes have participated in the ‘Roots for Empathy’ programme in school as part of the PDMU curriculum. This very successful programme focuses upon developing pupils’ abilty to be able at act appropriately in different situations through the use of their empathy skills.
During the course of this year the pupils have observed Freya’s development as well as having the opportunity to sing songs to her. All of the pupils we have spoken to have been very positive in their feedback of the programme.
This programme was was led by Mrs. Moore but the undoubted star of the show was ‘Baby Freya!’ The pupils have followed her development from a young baby through until today when the pupils could see her move freely around the green mat. Our thanks to Mrs. Gibson and Freya for their willing participation throughout this year as part of the ‘Roots For Empathy’ programme.
