REMINDER - Cyber Security Parent Information Evening
You are all welcome to attend a presentation tomorrow night (Wednesday 1 May) at 7pm regarding everyday practical cybersecurity, focussing on how to keep your connected devices, home, and family safe(r) online. Topics will include: spotting fraudulent emails (phishing), good password hygiene, physical device security, computer viruses, ransomware and WiFi security, along with demonstrations of how easily a device can be attacked if not protected. This will be presented at an accessible level, and no special technical knowledge is required.
Speaker:
Dr Domhnall Carlin is a Research Fellow in Cybersecurity at the Centre for Secure Information Technologies (CSIT) in Queen’s University Belfast, where he received an MSc in Software Development and a PhD in Computer Science (Cybersecurity).
