The PTA wish to welcome everyone back to the summer term at Strandtown with some great news. This year, so far, we have all managed to raise £16k for the school. Recent events which have added to the total are as follows:

The PTA would also like to thank Heidi McAlpin, Dawn Williams, Cliff Mason and the H&W Staff Club for running such a successful disco fundraiser for the school on the 9th of March which raised another £1,141.50. This cheque was presented to the PTA last week by Dawn, Cliff and Dougie. There are plans to run another similar event in the Autumn.
Late last year the PTA set up a group specifically to target grant and external funding and they have secured a whooping £4,300 for the school so far. As this is our first year in doing this, we can only expect these funds to increase over the coming years.
Thanks once again to all for supporting the events run in aid of the school. Don’t forget it’s not too late if you want to donate a prize for our annual summer raffle which takes place at the school fair on the 12th of May.
