NIFRS - Home Safety Talk to Year 5 pupils.
White Watch from The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service came to Strandtown PS to talk to the Year 5 pupils and staff. They gave us really helpful advice about keeping our homes safe and what to do if a fire is discovered in our homes. Pupils will remind their parents about the importance of checking smoke alarms regularly to make sure they are working properly. Parents are advised if they don't have a smoke alarm the NIFRS can provide one. Send in your details to the office. All the Year 5 pupils were given a "Safety Team" folder. There are lots of goodies inside. Included is a letter for parents and pupils to sign. Please return this to school. Thanks to White Watch for a very informative talk.
