Emily, one of our Year 7 pupils, wrote a celebrity letter to leading Irish pianist, Michael McHale. On receiving his letter in Japan, Michael not only replied to Emily's letter but also agreed to visit our school and give her, her own private music lesson. At Year 7 assembly, Emily interviewed Michael with some great questions with the staff and pupils intrigued by his answers. Michael then treated our pupils to a performance on the piano.
It it was lovely to also welcome Michael's parents and Emily's mum to this special assembly. A special morning that will live long in the memory,not only for Emily but for all the pupils who were gathered in the hall this morning. Amazing!
