On Monday afternoon, Years 4, 5 and 7 welcomed the 'Law Enforcement Torch Run' to Strandtown to mark the start of the 'Special Olympics Ireland Summer Games.'
This was quite a spectacle for our pupils to witness with police motor cars, motorbikes, mounted police officers on horseback from the Garda as well as those athletes who were accompanying the torch. Miss Bailie was presented with a certificate and a crystal paperweight to mark this occasion.
