Important Message from the Principal: Earlswood Road
Dear Parents
As you know there has been frequent communication between residents, police and local politicians with regards to the traffic on Earlswood Road.
My greatest concern is Earlswood Terrace; the stretch of road from the main road leading to the school gate. Cars are driving down here in the morning and afternoon and then needing to do at least a three-point turn to be able to get back up. Driving down this small congested stretch is putting our pupils’ safety at risk.
It has been suggested to me that this gate should be permanently closed. I would like to avoid such steps but I need your help in making sure this area is safe for all pedestrians.
I am asking that cars do not drive down the terrace at collection and drop-off. If there are other people doing the school run on your behalf, please ask them to do the same.
Never park across residents’ driveways.
I know you appreciate my priority is our school community’s safety and I greatly appreciate your help and communication.
Regards,
Mrs Hutchinson
