Gareth McAuley Sends His Boots To Year 7 Pupil.
A Year 7 pupil from Room 33 received an amazing surprise in the post this week. Back in March, our budding footballer wrote a celebrity letter to Rangers and N.Ireland player Gareth McAuley. In his letter, Ross explained to Gareth why he admired him as a player and also invited him to our school to sign his boots.
Well, Gareth couldn’t fit a visit to Strandtown into his schedule so instead he decided to send Ross a pair of his signed boots. What a very thoughtful and amazing gift from Gareth McAuley.
Ross says he is going to hold onto the boots until he is older and then hopes he will be able to play in the boots as well as their predecessor.
Well done Ross and thank you Gareth McAuley for a making one of our Year 7 pupils very happy.
