Football Success in Year 7 at Priory Tournament.
North Down Priory Cup Challenge Finals
At Eddie Irvine Centre Bangor
Girls’ team (6 a side) played
4 games. They won 3 games and got through to the semifinals. Played great football and were v competitive in all matches. A total of 12 girls’ teams were represented. Well done girls.
25 schools in the boys’ competition.
The boys won every game in their section. Even managing to score 8 goals, in 10 minutes, I’m one match.
They played a very competitive semifinal, winning that.
Final was against Grange Primary from Bangor. We went one nil up, then one all, then two one down and finally two all. Final whistle it was a draw.
Sudden death penalties. Jay and Caleb scored their penalties and Ryan saved the second Grange shot.
Strandtown the Victors!
An excellent competition and both teams represented the school superbly.
