Eco Committee visits Dean Crooks' Fold, 28th November
Today, nine Year 7 members of Eco Committee visited Dean Crooks' Fold, close to school, on the Upper Newtownards Road. We walked over in a few minutes and were warmly welcomed by Alison the co-ordinator and ushered down a long corridor to the Common Room. We met with about 15 of the residents of the Fold and the children were interested to hear stories and chat about themselves and their new friends - we heard some interesting stories... Dianne from the Soil Association was there to chat about favourite foods and the children joined in a Thanksgiving lunch with the residents and staff. When we left, the children were given selection boxes and applauded for being such great guests. Thanks to Alison and her team of helpers!
