What a perfect day to start our adventures! The sun shone, the food tasted good, no casualties. In a week with so many challenges such as bouldering, canoeing, archery and climbing walls, perhaps the greatest challenge of Day 1 was putting on a duvet cover - a truly perplexing task for many (mostly the boys).
After collecting our kit for the week, we drove to Bloody Bridge in Newcastle where the boys and girls spent a few blissful hours leaping into rock pools, sliding down natural rock waterslides and clambering over boulders. Dinner was duly inhaled and followed by a Q&A session on what a fruit salad is!
Our evening activities began with a visit to the adventure playground and the nightline where one pupil led his/her partner blindfolded through a forest. By supper time everyone was shattered but happy. Enjoy the photos and see you all tomorrow.
