ClassDoJo and Visiting the School
Attached is information regarding visiting the school site, drop off and collection. Please take the time to read this in detail.
Class Dojo
As most of you are aware Class Dojo was used during the school closure as our online teaching platform.
This year in school we will be maintaining its use as a communication tool for parents.
Class Dojo also allows for direct contact between the classroom and home. When you sign in, you will be able to see information that is sent to you through the messaging system. Teachers will be able to send direct and relevant communication and when home learning activities are established they will be post daily through this platform, this will take the place of the homework diary.
Although the system allows for parental comment we would strongly request that all communications are conducted in the normal procedure of phoning or emailing the school office if you wish to speak the class teacher about your child in any detail. Additionally, as teachers will be with their class all day there is no capacity for a teacher to respond to parent communication or queries in this way.
While Class Dojo was used extensively for the summer term, as we return to school it will be used in a different way and for different purposes. I would ask all parents to be mindful of this.
Hopefully you will find ClassDojo a helpful addition to school communications.
You can find out more about ClassDojo on www.classdojo.com/LearnMore or www.classdojo.com/Privacy
This week all class teachers will be posting important class information on restart.
I appreciate your support and cooperation with all our guidance, procedures and polices during these unprecedented times.
