Children's Commissioner visits Year 6
Year 6 had the pleasure of welcoming the NI Children and Young People's Commissioner, Koulla Yiasouma into our Assembly this morning. She spoke to the boys and girls about their 42 rights as children under the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. Did you know that all children have the right to speak up and have their opinions listened to? Or that all children have the right to rest and leisure, as well as to play? Or that all children have the right to develop their skills and personality? We in Year 6 will ensure that all our pupils will be able to do just that.
Thank you to both Koulla and Laura for speaking to our wonderful Year 6 pupils! We really enjoyed listening to what she had to say (even if she admitted to being an Arsenal supporter!) :-(
