On Monday, 150 pupils from Year 6 & Year 7 were invited to attend the Children's Ireland Book of the Year Shortlist announcement at Strand Arts Centre. Hosted by Rick O'Shea from RTE 2FM, the pupils had the opportunity to learn a little about the 10 books were shortlisted. This was followed by a talk from the wonderfully entertaining Oisin McGann, Irish author of the 'Mad Grandad' series and 'Rat Runners'. He spoke to the boys and girls about his books, his inspiration and his life as an author answering so many amazing questions from our budding authors . A great experience for all.
